The Elegant Lady Card

Again the time seems to have flown by since I last blogged. We have had a pretty manic couple of months, including a fantastic family holiday,  decorating our son's bedroom to make it more grown up for him, work and general family life

I have managed to get some time in the loft and am in the process of making some Christmas Cards.

This was a card I made back in September for my Mother in Law,  I wanted something simple but elegant.

To create this card I used,

Elegant Lady digital stamp ( I cannot for the life of me remember where I got it from)
Quikcuts Elegant corner die,
Oval and Scalloped Oval nestabilities,
Neroli Paper Pad from first edition,
Hat pins were made by me,
Pearls and ribbon were from stash,

It's been how long!!!!!!

I cannot believe that it's been six months since I last posted.  Life has been pretty hectic and I took on extra hours at work meaning less time for me to spend crafting.

I did manage to make a couple of Thank You Teacher cards on my craft robo, with an added Stampin Up Owl.

Hopefully I'll be back soon.

The In This House Canvas

I have seen a lot of these canvas's around and really wanted to make one in a colour way that would suit our hallway, I finally got round to making one over the Christmas Holidays,

To create it I used a suede canvas that I picked up a car boot sale and painted over it with a dulux tester pot, I then just added all different types of acrylic paint onto the canvas using different mediums (bubble wrap, mesh, and natural sponges) until I got the look I wanted.

I then covered the canvas in modge podge and cut out the lettering on my craft robo,  The phrase I used is a cutting file from the silhouette store, once the lettering was in place  I  applied another coat of modge podge to seal it and its now hanging in our hallway.

(sorry about the photo it was taken on my phone)

The Starburst Card

Whilst browsing the internet I kept coming across  star burst cards I thought they looked great, after finding a tutorial I finally got to make one, I also attempted to stitch around the card ( it's not very straight)  using a little electric sewing machine, but with hindsight I think my bigger one would have given me more control.

To create this card I used,
The greeting farm Miss Anya Fancy Dresses Stamp coloured in with Spectrum Noirs pens,
Nestabilities Ovals and Scalloped Ovals,
Quikcutz Fancy Corner Die
The tags were cut on my craft robo and the buttons came from stash,

I would like to enter it into the following challenges,

Colour me Crazy - Anything Goes

Polkadoodles - Anything Goes
