The Creative Bunting

I wanted something to bring some colour to the plain white wall above my desk in my loft space, So when xcut brought out their bunting dies I created this bunting to coordinate with the summer wreath I made earlier in the year.

The papers are Ohh la la from My minds Eye I think, and I have also used
Xcut Bunting Dies, scalloped and plain,
Martha Stuart flower and butterfly  punch,
daisy Punch, and Heart Punch,
Xcut Bunting Dies,
X cut leaf punch,
The Letters and the fern leaves were cut on the craft robo and the bling is from stash,

and here it is with the summer wreath I made in the same paper, it certainly brings some colour to the plain white wall,

A Little Bit of Hooky

I have recently discovered the joy of  Crochet, and I have to say I love it, I find is so relaxing to do, and it is something I can finally do unlike knitting, ( which is sad I come from a family of  very good knitters I think the gene missed me).
With this week being half term I had some time on my hands and wanted to finally discover how to do Granny Squares, I found this great tutorial and set out to make a huge granny square blanket, just  like the one I had when I was younger.

This is it so far and I'm so pleased with how it's coming out at the moment it is about the size of a large cushion, Once it is finished it is going to live in my loft on the back of my chair in case I get cold,

The Distressed Card

I have recently purchased some Tim Holtz stamps, They are ideal for men's cards and I just love the old styling of them, This is the first card I have made with them,

I have used kraft card and a mixture of different Tim Holtz stamps to make the background ,
I stamped the car on a different bit of card and stuck it on foam squares to give it a bit of definition,
then just added  some Tim Holtz tickets a button and a sentiment to finish it off.
